Review of  White Sage: Gallery Inn      Play Write , Producer,  Director, Composer-

As a writer I found my mind cleared in the morning by the scent of  of juniper and sage brush. I found stories and thoughts were ripe for picking as I walked in the National forests that all seem to be within twenty minutes of White Sage. During my time there I felt awake, I felt like an explorer, free to sample all that this amazing part of Oregon has to offer, I could explore this playground and have a  dream home to come back to. This home is so unique, it is the home of a true artisan, and I felt privileged to live among Lynn’s work.  It truly helped me in my creative endeavors to be surrounded by this important artist. I was fortunate enough to share the Inn with Lynn and her visiting Brother. We toured her studio and gardens. I purchased a hand made mug fresh out of the hot kiln to take  home with me.   Her gardens and house plants are bursting with life—everything seems to grow a little greener and bloom a little longer at the White Sage Gallery Inn.  I encourage people to visit White Sage and see and feel the place for themselves, it is so unique. There is both a creative and serene feeling to this land, in these spaces that makes it a perfect artists retreat, writer’s getaway or vacation spot.

White Sage at night it transforms into a stargazers paradise unencumbered by neighboring lights—the sky is filled with countless stars, a sky that this city dweller had only seen in this natural state a few times in her life. It is truly breathtaking!     (The shooting stars begin in August) and the Milkyway can be seen year round.

Reflecting on my recent stay I was amazed at the variety of terrain, we had covered on our hikes—in early May we had traversed snow, climbed peaks, walked alongside painted hills, and traced the origin of a huge meandering waterfall, each day it seemed we were not only not in the same state but even sometimes in the same country. The high desert Oregon sun gives the feeling of being deliciously warmed, that young summer feeling.  Let the high desert air and the atmosphere at the White Sage Gallery Inn work it’s magic on your mind your body and your soul.

Thank you Rachel!   We loved having you and good luck with your new work.
